Millennium Hall Events

Please come join the Hands-on demonstrations at the Millennium Hall. Participation is limited so please come early.

• Play a Video Game using Electric Signals from Your Muscle
  (Recommended Age: Elementary Schoolers 1-6 grade)

Muscles in the human body generate electricity when contracting. These electric signals, which are used by the brain to communicate its intent with the muscles, can be detected using our technology. In this program, we will demonstrate how we can read the electric signals from your arm, so you can directly play a video game without any controllers!

• See Through an Obstacle
  (Recommended Age: Elementary Schoolers 1-6 grade)

We will put a tablet PC before your eyes, blocking your view. Can you see through the silhouette in this obstacle by touching and controlling the tablet display?

Information Session for Prospective Students

Prospective students who are interested in NAIST are welcomed to come to the Question/Answer Corner and Information Sessions, where Graduate School staff and current students will talk about entrance examination procedures, academic curriculum, job prospects, student life, and any other questions of interest.

    This is the closest train station to campus, roughly 20 minutes by walk (it is somewhat hilly).
  • Takanohara Station-Kintetsu Kyoto Line (Google Map)
    Convenient from Kyoto city region.

Access by Car

• From Osaka, take Route 163 and turn a left at Nara Sentan Daigaku Mae crossing. From Kyoto, take Route 163 and turn a right at Nara Sentan Daigaku Mae crossing. NAIST is immediately after the turn. (Map to Parking Lot)
• The Parking Lot has a capacity of 500 cars and is free on the day of the event.
