Development of International Stronghold
In this program, we aim to internationalize our COE as a research and training institution, with a view to creating a world-class academic stronghold. Specifically, the following plans are to be implemented in the Ubiquitous Networked Media Computing Laboratory.

>For Creating an Internationally Recognized COE
Introduction of the position of COE Specially Designated Professor/Assistant Professor Positions (2 places overseas/3 months)
Organizing international symposiums (10 invited researchers from overseas)
Organizing international seminars (10 invitations/year)
a) Scheme for Invitation of Overseas Researchers
Inviting the world’s leading scholars (e.g. professors on sabbatical) in areas relevant to the COE program to promote joint research and ensure improvement and internationalization of post-graduate education
b) Scheme for Postdoctoral Researchers
Recruiting overseas/young postdoctoral researchers

c) Organizing International Seminars/Symposiums
NAIST-COE Seminars, NAIST-COE International Symposiums: with researchers invited from overseas and inside Japan.
