医療情報分野の最大の学会である The International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) は毎年12の分野別にBest Paper を選出し、年鑑：IMIA Yearbook of Medical Informaticsに収録しています。
若宮特任助教らの論文は、Public Health and Epidemiology Informatics （公衆衛生および疫学情報）分野において、2018年に出版された805論文（Pubmed/MedlineとWeb of Science での検索結果）の中から3本のBest Paperの1つに選出され、IMIA Yearbook of Medical Informatics 2019に収載されました。 The International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) is an independent organization which plays a major global role in the application of information science and technology in the fields of healthcare and research in medical, health and bio-informatics. A Paper of Assistant Prof. Wakamiya et al., Social Computing Lab, was selected as one of the three best articles published in 2018 in the 'Public Health and Epidemiology Informatics' subfield of medical informatics. 本研究テーマは、これまでのソーシャルメディアデータ（Twitterのつぶやきなど）を医療応用する際の問題点として指摘されていた、つぶやき数と患者数のギャップを考慮したモデルを提案し、インフルエンザサーベイランスに適用した研究です。2016年の国際会議論文を昨年度ジャーナル化したものが、ベストペーパーの1本に選出いただけたことを光栄に思います。これを励みにこれからも努力してまいります。 -
