知能コミュニケーション研究室の中村哲教授に、IEEEライフフェローの称号が授与されました。(2023/10/10)
Prof. Satoshi Nakamura of Augmented Human Communication lab entitled IEEE Life Fellow membership.

IEEE（米国電気電子学会、Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers）は、 世界最大の学術研究団体であり、世界160か国以上に40万人以上の会員がいます。電気工学を源流とする通信・電子・情報工学とその関連分野を対象とし、その教育的・技術的進歩を目的としています。
IEEEが指定する分野で著しい業績を上げた会員には、他薦により推挙され、IEEE理事会による審査の上で最高レベルの会員資格であるフェローの称号が授与されます。各年の授与数は正会員数の0.1%以内と定められています。中村教授は2016年にフェローに認定されています。 　更にこの度、中村教授の、IEEE会員として長年に渡る貢献と功績が認められ、LIFE Fellowの称号が贈られました。
IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. Its vision is to become essential to the global technical community and to technical professionals everywhere, and be universally recognized for the contributions of technology, and of technical professionals in improving global conditions. Prof. Nakamura received the honor of IEEE Fellow membership in 2016, which is a distinction reserved for select IEEE members whose extraordinary accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest are deemed fitting of this prestigious grade elevation. He entitled IEEE Life Fellow membership in recognition of his professional achievements in technology as well as the significant impact he has made on the growth and development of IEEE.(cited from IEEE HP)
