    "Do developers update their library dependencies?"
    An empirical study on the impact of security advisories on library migration.
    ソフトウェア開発において，他人が開発したライブラリを使うことが当たり前になっていますが，古いライブラリにはセキュリティ上の脆弱性などが見つかっていることも多くあり，適切なライブラリ，適切なバージョンの選択が重要となっています．本論文では，多数の開発プロジェクトで使用されているライブラリのバージョンについて調査を行い，開発者の多くが古いバージョンのライブラリを使い続けていること，新しいバージョンのライブラリが存在していることに気づいていなかったことを確認し，ソフトウェア開発者にとってライブラリの更新という作業が実は難しいものであることを明らかにしました．

    As libraries become more and more common in software development, we believe that developers need to understand the importance of updating and that it should be also common practice. I would like to thank my co-authors, especially Takashi Ishio of of the Software Engineering Lab of NAIST. This was an international collaboration effort with Ali Ouni and Katsuro Inoue from Osaka University and Daniel M. German from the University of Victoria, Canada.
