International Conference on Activity and Behavior Computing（ABC）は、センサ、コンピュータビジョン、機械学習などの技術を用いた人間の活動認識および行動分析に関する研究を対象とする国際会議です。本会議は、活動・行動コンピューティング分野における最新の研究成果や課題について議論する場を提供し、医療、リハビリテーション、ヒューマン・コンピュータ・インタラクションなどの応用分野を対象としています。 第8回ABC会議（ABC 2026）は、2026年3月9日から12日にかけて、日本・北海道の室蘭および函館にて（ハイブリッド形式で）開催されました。
Best Position Paper Runner-Up Awardは、活動・行動コンピューティング分野において、革新的な研究アイデアや将来の研究方向性を提案した優れたポジションペーパーを表彰するものです。
The International Conference on Activity and Behavior Computing (ABC) focuses on research related to human activity recognition and behavior analysis using technologies such as sensors, computer vision, and machine learning. The conference provides a platform for researchers to discuss recent advances and challenges in activity and behavior computing and its applications in areas such as healthcare, rehabilitation, and human–computer interaction.
The 8th ABC Conference (ABC 2026) was held from March 9–12, 2026, in Muroran and Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan (Hybrid format).The Best Position Paper Runner-Up Award is presented to recognize an outstanding
position paper that proposes innovative research ideas and future research directions in
the field of activity and behavior computing.

I am truly honored to receive the Best Position Paper Runner-Up Award at ABC 2026. This work proposes a method for generating patient-specific abnormal gait motions from clinical text descriptions and visualizing them as virtual patients in a 3D environment, aiming to support therapists’ observational skill training. I sincerely thank my supervisors, Professor Hirokazu Kato and Prof. Goshiro Yamamoto, as well as all co-authors and members of the Interactive Media Design Laboratory for their invaluable guidance and support. This recognition motivates me to continue advancing research for rehabilitation and healthcare training.
