佐藤 嘉伸名誉教授が、コンピュータ支援整形外科の分野における卓越した功績を称えるMaurice E. Müller Awardを受賞しました。（2025/06/17）
Professor Emeritus Yoshinobu SATO has received the Maurice E. Müller Award for Excellence in Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery.

Maurice E. Müller Awardは、国際コンピュータ支援整形外科学会(CAOS-International)が、1999年より、毎年、コンピュータ支援整形外科分野における長年の貢献と、この研究分野の発展に多大な影響を与えた功績を称えるものです。審査委員会は、コンピュータ支援外科の卓越性を育む貢献をした個人1名を、医学者と工学者、原則、毎年交互に選出します。日本からは、これまで、医学者１名が選出されていましたが、2025年、佐藤名誉教授は、工学者として初めて選出されました。授賞式は、スイスDavosで開催されたCAOS-Internationalの年次大会で行われました。

The Maurice E. Müller Award is awarded annually by the International Society for Computer-Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery (CAOS-International) since 1999 to recognize long-standing contributions to the field of computer-assisted orthopaedic surgery and achievements that have had a significant impact on the development of this research field. The selection committee alternates each year between selecting one individual from the medical and engineering fields who has made outstanding contributions to the advancement of computer-assisted surgery. Until now, only one medical professor had been selected from Japan, but this year, Professor Emeritus Sato became the first engineering professor to receive the award in 2025. The award ceremony was held at the annual CAOS-International conference in Davos, Switzerland.
