Human beings are constantly making their decisions in everyday life. “model-free” is the basis of the brain function and making decisions. The agent observes the state of their situation and selects their action from the options to obtain the reward. “model-based” is also one of the decision-making strategies. model-free is composed of neural circuit of midbrain dopamine and the basal ganglia. Model-based is composed of cerebral cortex circuit focused on the prefrontal cortex. Thus, decision-making and brain activity are closely related. It is also clear that the decision-making method differs depending on individual characteristics and situation. Therefore, in this study, I focused on the change of decision-making in the decline of cognitive function of elderly people. I decided to clarify behavioral measures of the elderly people using the model-free / model-based decision-making method and associate them with brain activity at rest. After analyzing using the brain activity at rest of the elderly people, correlation between behavior data index and the brain data at rest.
