In recent years, running has become a boom globally. While running can gain health, it also brings with the risk of suffering from running injuries. Sports companies develops various shoes to prevent running injuries, such as devising in the hardness of the sole part of shoes. Therefore, in this study, we developed a technique to estimate the motion characteristics of the lower extremities using wearable sensors so that runners can select these shoes according to their own motion characteristics. In this research, we developed two systems to measure running simply and robustly in real environment which is technically difficult. Firstly, by installing wearable sensors on running shoes, we developed a system to measure running in real environment. Secondly, we developed motion feature extraction system that robustly extracts parameters with high correlation with running troubles from running in real environment, using acceleration / angular velocity data obtained from wearable sensors. This system contributes to the shoes selection of the runner by extracting motion feature obtained from running in the real environment.
