title: Meta-analysis of testosterone replacement therapy for men with depression
abstract: Diagnosis and treatment of depression and other psychiatric disorders are largely based on subjective diagnosis, which can lead to misdiagnosis and high prescribing of multiple drugs, which can be burdensome for patients. As an alternative treatment, we focus on testosterone replacement therapy, for which quantitative diagnostic techniques already exist and which has been shown to be effective in treating depression, social anxiety, and testosterone deficiency. Since studies of testosterone replacement therapy in patients with psychiatric disorders are small, I will use meta-analysis techniques to statistically merge these small individual study groups and test for significance. language of the presentation: Japanese 発表題目: うつ病男性を対象としたテストステロン補充療法のメタアナリシス 発表概要: うつ病を始めとした精神疾患の診断・治療は主観的な診断に基づく部分が多く、誤診や多剤大量処方などにより患者に負担を強いるケースが発生している。そこで代替的な治療手段として、定量的な診断技術がすでに確立されており、抑うつや社会不安、そしてテストステロン欠乏症への治療的効果が示唆されているテストステロン補充療法に焦点を当てる。精神疾患患者を対象としたテストステロン補充療法の研究は小規模のものが多いため、メタアナリシスの技法でそれら小規模の個別研究群を統計的に統合し、有意性の有無を検証する。 | ||||||
