| 題目(Title) | Multidimensional analysis of extracellular potentials in the cerebral cortex | |
| 概要(Abstract) | 大脳皮質に微小電極を施入すると、神経発火に対応する細胞外電位と局所電場電位(local field potential, LFP)を記録することができる。それらをどのように記録するか、どのように解析するか、その結果どのような結果が得られるかについて、自らの研究に基づき議論する。特に、１つの電気信号から多元的な情報が得られる様を示す。あわせて、サルを用いた神経生理学の重要性についても紹介する。 When a microelectrodes is inserted into the cerebral cortex, extracellular potentials reflecting neuronal firing and local field potentials (LFPs) can be recorded. How to record them, how to analyze them, and what results can be obtained will be discussed based on my own research. In particular, I will show how multidimensional information can be obtained from a single electrical signal. The importance of neurophysiology using monkeys will also be introduced. |
