title: Panorama video-based Mixed Reality Remote Shopping Assistant System for People With Mobility Difficulties
abstract: People with mobility difficulties lack social participation as they are stuck at home. We hope to provide a remote collaboration system to enable efficient and smooth communication between shoppers and people with mobility difficulties. The 360 cameras carried by shoppers provide panoramic videos that are broadcast live in the supermarket in real-time. People with mobility difficulties can make purchases through VR HMD, while shoppers in the supermarket use HoloLens to implement instructions by people with mobility difficulties. By analyzing the characteristics of shopping behavior, we designed a multi-modal interactive interface to encourage people with mobility difficulties to improve their social participation.

title: Distance estimation of two-layer structure object using multiple modulation frequencies in time-of-flight measuremen
abstract: In recent years, Time-of-Flight(ToF) cameras have been used in various fields. However, this camera cannot measure the correct distance in a two-layer scene where a translucent object and an opaque object overlap. For example, products packed in objects and films over glass. Therefore, we propose a method for estimating the correct distance both translucent and opaque objects by using multiple modulation frequencies. In this time, the effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed through real environment experiments.

title: Time-of-flight Imaging in Fog Using Multiple Time-gated Exposures
abstract: A Time-of-flight (ToF) camera enables to capture the depth and intensity images of a scene. The ToF camera has lots of potential applications including autonomous driving because the combination of the depth and intensity images is very useful to, for example, scene recognition tasks. It is, however, still difficult to use the ToF camera in scattering media such as fog, because the light is scattered and contaminates the reflected light. In this paper, we propose a measurement algorithm of depth and intensity in fog using a ToF camera with multiple time-gated exposures. We assign one time-gated exposure to observe only scattered light near from the camera for estimating the scattering property of fog in a scene. Once the scattering property is estimated, actual depth and intensity can be reconstructed by the observations of the rest exposures via a physics-based model. Real experiments in a fog chamber show that our method can measure the depth and the intensity much better than the ordinary ToF camera.

title: Restoration of Overlapping Photographic Plate using Multi-Viewpoint Images and Linear Solution
abstract: Many historical materials have been damaged by tsunami caused Great East Japan Earthquake. One of them is photographic plate, which is a film photograph before the Meiji era, and it is difficult to identify subject because it overlaps due to tsunami. Therefore, it is necessary to restore overlapping photographic plates to their original state without physical damage. In this research, we propose method to separate overlapping images and restore each image clearly by solving images photographed from multi-viewpoints with linear equations. The effectiveness of our proposed method is evaluated in simulation experiment used composite images.
