title: A redicred walking method using haptic sensations on sole
abstract: Recently there are stand-alone VR head-mounted display that can measure the device position and orientation. Therefore, users can enjoy VR contents while walking around. However, it is hard to take a wide real space for walking around freely. To deal with this problem, there is a technique called Redirected Walking (RDW) that makes the user feel like walking bigger space in a narrow space. There are some methods such as using eye tracking and using a virtual revolving door contained in RDW. In this study, I propose an RDW method using shoes with protrusions on the sole. By attaching protrusions to the shoe sole, a friction and sensation felt from the soles of the shoe changes. Hence, it becomes possible to obtain a stronger redirection effect than the method using only visual effects. In this presentation, I show the experimental results of how the redirection effect felt by pedestrians changes when the position, number and angle of the sticks on the back of the shoe are changed.

title: Pseudo data generation for error correction considering learner's native language
abstract: The goal of this study is to generate high quality pseudo data for learning error correction models. Many English learners' errors are influenced by their native language. For this reason, it is thought that the model learned with the English errors written by the Japanese specializes in correcting the Japanese specific error. There are many previous works on the generation of pseudo error English sentences, but the pseudo errors contain a wide variety of errors. In this presentation, we propose a method using parallel dictionary and multilingual embedding, and mention future research.

title: Web Browsing Designed for Immersive VR
abstract: With the spread of HMD for VR, it is assumed that HMD is used on daily basis. In such a situation, there are many problems to browse general web pages using immersive HMD and VR controller, for example, the amount of operation is larger than that in the case of using a mouse and keyboard. It is necessary to consider the display method which has smaller and more efficient way in 3D environment. In this paper, we consider web user interface for immersive VR. Firstly, we focus on the VR devices and create prototypes.

title: Development and Evaluation of Multimodal Robotic Touch Care
abstract: Touch care affords positive effects such as mitigation of stress, pain, and dementia. However, from the shortage of physical therapists and care workers as the aging population, patients can not receive enough care. To solve the problem, touch care by a robot has gained popularity. In this study, we develop a hand and motion for the robotic touch care. Furthermore, we propose a multi-modal system that provides not only touch but also visual and hearing stimuli to increase comfortableness and to decrease stress.

title: Load-Independent Constant Voltage / Constant Current Design for 2x2 MIMO-IPT

abstract: Inductive Power Transfer(IPT) is a technique for transmitting power wirelessly. Recently, this technique has been applied to various electronic devices such as electric vehicles and electric toothbrushes. When the IPT system feeds these electronic equipment targeted for feeding with transmit power, the design of the compensation circuit which can provide constant voltage (constant current) is necessary. Currently, research on IPT from multiple power sources to multiple electronic devices is underway, and previous research proposed a constant voltage circuit for IPT system at the same frequency in two systems where the distance between the power transmission side and the power reception side is known. In this research, we aim to design a constant voltage circuit and a constant current circuit in 2x2 MIMO IPT system when the distance between the power transmission side and the power receiver side is unknown. In this presentation, the design and simulation results of constant current circuits when the distance between the power transmission side and the power reception side is uncertain are shown, and future research policies are also mentioned.

title: Automatic HTML generation from a screenshot of the rendered page
abstract: Today, many new web pages are created every day in IT industry. Landing Pages(LPs) are simple web page which aims to make visitor of the web page know about the products or services, and increase the purchase of it. There are increasing demands for publishing new LPs, though it depends on coder's experience and expertise that the process of coding HTML from a rendering image drawn by designers. Beltramelli, 2017. has introduced a method to automatically generate source codes which can be rendered into graphical user interfaces(GUIs) and web pages from a screenshot of the GUI, but their ability is limited within experimental use. This research aims to develop usable application of automatic generator of HTML from the corresponding rendered image.

title: On Extraction Method of Representative Evacuation Routes from Evacuees' Trajectories
abstract: When a large-scale disaster occurs, speedy and reliable evacuation is required. In the existing work, an automatic evacuation guiding scheme has been proposed, which provides a speedy and reliable evacuation route with each evacuee and estimates a blocked road segment from the difference between the recommended route and his/her trajectory. However, the estimation of the blocked road segment may become wrong when the evacuee intentionally leaves the recommended route. We expect that such unexpected behavior of evacuees may be detected by analyzing their trajectories. In this talk, as a first step, we propose a method to extract representative evacuation routes from evacuees' trajectories.

title: Consensus Algorithm Based on Proof-of-Stake Protocol with Weighted Voting for Blockchain
abstract: The Proof of Stake (PoS) protocol is one of consensus algorithms for Blockchain, in which the integrity of a new block is validated according to voting of nodes called validators. Due to validator-oriented voting, however, voting results are likely to be false when the number of validators who wrongly validate blocks is large. In order to solve this problem, a block validation with weighted voting was proposed. In this approach, the voting profile of a validator is defined as a reliability measure, and a new block is validated by the voting result in which all the profiles of voting validators are taken into consideration. The voting profile of a validator is updated so that the profile value of a validator who correctly validates a new block increases. In this presentation, we introduce the summary of the block validation with weighted voting and profile-updating scheme, showing our future work.

title: Application of stochastic resonance for biomimetic tactile sensor
abstract: Stochastic resonance is a phenomenon which improves signal-noise ratio in nonlinear system by applying optimal noise. As application of this phenomenon for human, it was reported that white-noise vibration to a fingertip improves the sense of touch and associated motor skills. In this study, we explore an approach of stochastic reasoning for enhancing the touch-to-sense capability of biomimetic tactile sensor. Our preliminary experimental results show that white-noise vibration can enhance accuracy of sandpaper discrimination with stochastic resonance.

title:Design of Work Attitude PLR collection infrastructure
abstract:Japanese labor productivity is the lowest in the seven advanced countries(G7) despite the fact that many people are working such long hours with stress as to cause industrial accidents such as mental illness and suicide. Therefore, workstyle reforms that improve productivity while maintaining mental health are urgently needed. In the work style reform, health management based on "Work Attitude" such as stress, work engagement, and workaholism is essential, and it is advisable to measure daily Work Attitude in order to be able to detect the sign of the industrial accident quickly. However, the conventional Work Attitude measurement methods are based on a questionnaire once a year, and then they are not suitable for monitoring. Therefore, in this study, we develop Work Attitude PLR (Personal Life Record) Collection Infrastructure that continuously measures and records Work Attitude that used to be measured only sporadically based on subjective questionnaires, using multimodal information. In this presentation, I will outline the system design of Work Attitude PLR collection infrastructure, and the future research plan.
