| 題目(Title) | Utilization of Indonesian Bioresources for Health and Beauty |
| 概要(Abstract) | Indonesia is mega-diversity country that has man bio-resources. Among this only limited number had been utilized for human health and beauty. The established utilization of bioresources in Indonesia is by using Jamu, an Indonesian traditional medicine. Screening the Indonesian bio-resources for new and more valuable utilization is needed. Screening process started by exploration and continue with screening the biological activity. Standardization of the most prospective plant is important step to do before use the plant in the final product. Finally, to utilize the prospective bioresources, formulation the product is needed. Database of plant, its active ingredient and its activity is used to formulate the product. One of product that had been develop from database is Gluko R1, the formula for anti-diabetics. |

| 講演者紹介(Introduction of Lecturer) | Irmanida Batubara is a director of Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center, Bogor Agricultural University, one of center of excellent in Indonesia on herbal. She graduated in 1998 (BSc) and 2003 (MS) from the Bogor Agricultural University in Indonesia with a degree in Chemistry. In 2009, she graduated PhD program in Agricultural Science from Gifu University in Japan. She became lecturer in Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, Bogor Agricultural University since 2005. She also active as researcher in Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center, Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia. She is now acting as the president of Perhimpunan Peneliti Bahan Alam Indonesia (Indonesian Natural Product Researcher Society). |
