title:Visualization of the temporal change of the light propagation of translucent objects by Monte Carlo simulation
abstract: In recent research to acquire transient imaging, detailed analysis and understanding of the movement of photons in semitransparent objects is required.In particular, scattering occurs in translucent objects, so understanding of temporal change of light propagation is considered to be important. So far, in the field of CG and CV, we focused on the spatial change of light, but the speed of light was assumed to be infinite.In this research, we aim to help understanding and prediction of phenomena of light propagation by devising a method expressing temporal change of light propagation, and simulate the instantaneous change of light propagation.In this report, we will use Monte Carlo simulation to accurately represent the temporal change of the light propagation of a translucent object, calculate stochastic scattering, and present the visualization of the temporal change of the photon.

title: Examining Single Scattering Region in Concentration, Depth, and Wavelength on Diluted Media
abstract: In computer vision and computer graphics studies dealing with scattering media, it is necessary to acquire scattering parameters. It is often assumed that single scattering is dominant in diluted media in analysis of scattering parameter. However, the assumption could not be valid depending on the concentration and the depth of the media and the wavelength of light.In this paper, we develop a method to examine the single scattering region, where the assumption is valid, through spectral measurements of different concentrations and depths of a medium. Finally,we examine the single scattering region on several media experimentally.

発表題目: 散乱パラメータ解析における希薄媒体の単一散乱とみなせる適切な  濃度・深度・波長の領域の計測調査
発表概要: 散乱媒体を扱うコンピュータビジョンやコンピュータグラフィクスの研究では、散乱パラメータを取得する必要がある。その散乱パラメータの計測には単一散乱が支配的と仮定するために希薄媒体を用いることが一般的である。しかし、希薄媒体の濃度、深度や光の波長によっては仮定が成立しないことがある。本研究では媒質の異なる濃度と深さの希薄媒体を分光測定することにより、仮定が有効である適切な単一散乱領域を調べる手法を提案する。その手法を実実験に適用し、いくつかの媒体における適切な単一散乱領域を調べる。結果として、希薄溶液の濃度や深度が大きすぎる領域や、小さすぎる領域は適切でなく、本手法により適切な単一散乱領域が確認できた

title: Acquiring Non-parametric Scattering Phase Function from a Single Image
abstract: Acquiring accurate scattering properties is important for rendering translucent materials. In particular, the phase function, which determines the distribution of scattering directions, plays a significant role in appearance of the material. Conventionally, the scattering phase function is represented as parametric model because there are only a few methods to acquire non-parametric phase function. We propose a distinctive scattering theory that approximates the effect of single scattering to acquire the non-parametric phase function from a single image. Furthermore, we measured the phase function from several real media and rendered images of these materials to evaluate the effectiveness of our theory.

title: Development of Evaluating System for Optimized Portal Placement in Arthroscopic Hip Surgery
abstract: In arthroscopic hip surgery for femoroacetabular impingement, the visibility of arthroscope depends on the position of inserttion port called "portal" at patient's skin. In the same way, the safe depth and insert angle to the rim of acetabular capsule of the inserted suture anchor also depends on the portal location. In this presentation we report the investigation on the visibility of arthroscope and safe insertion depth and angle of suture anchor inserted from different portal location using simulator based on interactive device under develpment with 3D surface model of the hip joint obtained from 15 patient-specific CT data.

発表題目: 股関節鏡視下手術における最適ポータル位置推定システムの開発研究
発表概要: 股関節唇損傷に対する股関節鏡視下手術においては,皮膚上に作成するポータルと呼ばれる器具の挿入口の位置によって,挿入した股関節鏡により得られる手術対象部位に対する視認性が異なる.同様に,股関節唇を縫合するために大腿骨臼蓋縁へ打ち込むスーチャーアンカーの安全な刺入角度と深さも異なる.本発表では開発を進めているインタラクティブデバイスを用いたシミュレータを用いて,15症例の術前CT画像から作成した股関節サーフェスモデルに対して,異なるポータル位置から挿入した股関節鏡の視認性及びスーチャーアンカーの安全な刺入角度及び深さについての調査について報告する.

title: An empirical investigation of wireless position detection using TLS-ESPRIT method in LCX-MIMO system.

abstract: Recently, Demand for performing position detection by terminal or tag by wireless on indoors and outdoors is increased. Installation of multiple access points is needed for covering a wide area in the method of using RFID or Wi-Fi. LCX (Leaky coaxial cable) is advantageous in forming an elongated area and we proposed that position detection using it. So far characterization considering line-of-sight propagation path was done but characterization considering fading spatial propagation path in was not done. In this research, we proposed that position detection suitable for multipath propagation.

発表題目:LCX-MIMOシステムにおけるTLS-ESPRIT法を用いた無線位置検出の実験的検討

発表概要: 近年、屋内外においてワイヤレスで端末やタグ位置検出を行う需要が高まっている。RFIDWi-Fiなどを用いる方式では広いエリアをカバーするために多数のアクセスポイントを設置する必要がある。LCX(漏洩同軸ケーブル)は細長いエリアの形成に有利であり、本研究ではこれを用いた位置検出方法を提案している。これまで、見通し伝搬路のみを考慮した特性評価が行われたが、空間伝搬路で起こるフェージングを考慮した評価を行われていない。本研究では多重路伝搬に適した位置検出法を提案する。

title:Optical Repeater for Next Generation Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting Signal Using Radio over Fiber
abstract:In the next generation digital terrestrial television broadcasting (DTTB), higher transmission rate than the current system is required to realize super high-vision broadcasting. Higher-order digital modulation and multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) technique are considered as a promising candidate to increase the transmission data rate without increasing radio frequency bandwidth. However, these schemes mainly focus on outdoor fixed/mobile reception, and there is no report on evaluating performance for compensating radio dead zone such as underground city and inside tunnel area. This presentation shows an optical repeater system using radio over fiber and proposals for next generation DTTB system.

発表題目:RoFを用いた次世代地上デジタル放送波の光中継に関する検討
発表概要:次世代地上デジタル放送では高画質な映像を伝送するために必要とされる伝送容量が大きくなる.そのために超多値変調やMIMO等を用いた伝送容量の拡大が図られている.また,地下街等の電波不感地へは地上デジタル放送波をRoF(Radio on/over Fiber)によって光中継するシステムが導入されている.本研究では現在の光中継システムの構成を活かしつつ電波不感地で次世代地上デジタル放送波を受信するシステムについて提案を行う.

title: Efficiency analysis of MIMO inductive power transfer system with two transmitters and two receivers

abstract: In this study, we investigate the transfer efficiency (RF-to-RF efficiency) for 2x2 MIMO WPT system with Cross-coupling. We modeled the system as Z-parameters on 4-port network. The efficiency is donated by the input currents and output currents. The efficiency is then maximized by applying the first-order necessary condition. Finally we confirmed the validity of numerical analysis using electro magnetic field simulation.

title: Proposal of beamforming method using leaky coaxial cable

abstract: Recently, an increase in communications traffic due to popularization of smartphones and IoT devices is remarkable. In particular, the lowering of communication efficiency in areas with high population density such as underground shopping areas has become a problem. We aim to solve the problem by beamforming method using a leaky coaxial cable.
