title: The difference of visual attention between experts and non-experts during abstract paintings observation
abstract: In evaluative judgment of abstract paintings, experts of art judge more clearly than non-experts. This indicates the possibility that visual attention of experts is different from non-experts. This difference is shown in gaze patterns that are related to visual attention. To confirm the difference of gaze patterns, we analyzed fixation locations in abstract paintings observation. In a preliminary experiment for preference judgment task, we found that experts have larger saccadic distances and less similarity of fixation distributions than non-experts, but did not find the difference of correlation coefficient of a bottom-up attention model called saliency map. These results indicate that experts have a different attention map from those of non-experts.

title: Extraction of features related to productivity and analysis of workers' communication patterns
abstract: Improvement of productivity is required as motivation that companies obtain a competitive advantage in the global competitive environment. But it is difficult to evaluate workers' productivity. We use inspiration as a measure of researchers' productivity. In this study, we extracted features related to their inspiration considering communication is vital to research. We evaluated the accuracy of classifying whether it is inspiration event or non-inspiration event using the features. And we visualized their typical communication patterns for managing organizations.

title: An ERP Analysis of the World-Sense and Semantics Mismatches in Japanese Sentences
abstract:This The effect of mistaken words on the sentence comprehension process has been studied for Western languages. In a previous study, if a sentence has a word that violates semantic or world knowledge violation word, N400 ERP component appears during the reading of the sentence (Hagort et al., 2004). Our study presented in this paper used electroencephalography (EEG) to examine whether the process of finding incorrect words due to semantic or world knowledge violation in Japanese sentences is the same as the process in Western languages.

発表概要:文中にある誤った単語を処理する研究は西洋言語で行われている。先攻研究においては、文中において知識誤りや意味誤りがあった場合にN400とよばれる事象関連電位が観測されることが分かっている。本研究では日本語文において、知識誤りと意味誤りの単語に対する反応でN400の波形がどのように変化するかを確かめた。

title: An Estimation of Cell Forces with Hierarchical Bayes Approach Considering Cell Morphology
abstract:To elucidate the migration mechanism of a biological cell, a mechanical force generated by the cell is measured in many biological studies. One of popular techniques is to measure the locations of fluorescent nano beads which are embedded in the surface of the culture substrate. A force is estimated from bead transitions. However, it is difficult inverse problem to estimate forces from the transitions because the number of possible force points is much larger than that of embedded beads due to physical limitations. To solve this problem, in this study we propose Bayesian force estimation by introducing priors of the cell morphology and the force directions, with the EM algorithm for parameter estimation. Our algorithm shows a significant improvement in estimating a force.

発表題目: 細胞形態を反映した階層ベイズ法による細胞の力推定法
発表概要: 細胞運動の原理を解明するため,細胞が発生する物理的力の計測が近年盛んである.代表的な実験的手法 として,細胞の培養基質の表面に埋め込まれた蛍光ビーズを用いるものがあり,細胞の力は蛍光ビーズの変位データ から推定する.しかし,物理的な制限により推定すべき力点の候補数よりも蛍光ビーズの数を抑える必要があるため, 変位からの力推定は計算困難な逆問題である.この問題を解くために,本研究では細胞の形態と力ベクトルの方向に 関する事前分布を用いたベイズ推定により,力を推定する手法を提案する.パラメータ推定にはEM アルゴリズムを 利用した.本手法のにより力推定が劇的に改善されることを示す.

title: A Deploying Method for Surrounding Building with Wireless Netowrk Node in Disaster Area and Evaluation
abstract: In this study, we propose a system to quickly build a wireless netowrok environment in the disaster area, and develop the algorithm for determining the location of the network node. In proposed method, we locate network nodes in the air with balloon to build a network that covers the indoor from outdoor, and deal with this deployment strategy as three dimensional deployment. This strategy aims to minimize the number of nodes with guarantee that covered by k nodes. We devised an algorithm based on genetic algorithm. To evaluate the proposed method, we compared with random and greedy method. We could confirm that the proposed method had minimal number of nodes in all cases.

発表題目: 被災地における建物包囲型無線ネットワーク配置手法の提案と評価
発表概要: 本研究では,被災地における無線ネットワーク環境を素早く構築するシステムを目指し, ネットワークノードの配置場所を決定するアルゴリズムを提案する. 提案手法では,建物外から室内をカバーするネットワークを構築するために,風船を用いてネットワークノードを空中に配置し, 三次元配置問題として扱う. 本手法では,対象空間をk個のノードから発する電波でカバーすることを保証した上でノード数を最小化する. 本研究では遺伝的アルゴリズムをベースとしたアルゴリズムを考案した. 提案手法の性能を評価するためランダム配置,greedy 配置との比較を行い, その結果すべてのケースにおいて提案手法が用いたノード数が最小であることを確認できた.

title: Throughput Improvement in Overlay Mobile WiMAX/WiFi Networks using Multipath TCP.

abstract: Mobile WiMAX is a broadband wireless technology which can deliver high data rates transmission. However, users who are distant from the base station may still experience low throughput. Therefore, the aim of this work is to study how to improve the throughput for those users. To this end, a new promising protocol, called Multipath TCP (MPTCP), is applied and studied in this context. MPTCP allows end-hosts to communicate by using more than one interface simultaneously. Since many mobile devices already have more than one interface, e.g., Mobile WiMAX and WiFi, we can leverage the use of them by using MPTCP.

title: SNS-based System for Supporting Simultaneous Video Watching among Remote Users
abstract: in this research, we propose a system for supporting simultaneous watching of locally stored videos among remote users. There exist on-line video services such as YouTube, Nico Nico Douga, etc. and researches on the method for efficient video delivery within limited network resources. However, there exist no works which support forming of the groups for simultaneous watching of videos, where the groups are organized based on the agreement between parameters on ``when and what to watch with whom.'' In this research, we propose a method for forming groups for simultaneous watching, which increase the satisfaction degree of users as much as possible. For this purpose, we should tackle the following challenges: (1) how to propagate the information such as the identifiers of locally stored videos, spare time for watching videos, etc.; and (2) how to match between users to achieve high satisfaction degrees of users. To solve (1), we propagate the information among users who share common interests using the Twitter, which is one of the popular SNS. To solve (2), we calculate the optimal groups for simultaneous watching based on the users' information about the videos of interest, the relationship with other users on SNS.

発表題目: SNSを用いた遠隔ユーザ間での所有動画同時視聴支援システム
発表概要: 本研究では,遠隔地にいる複数のユーザ同士がネットワークを介して,所有している動画を同時視聴することを支援するシステムを提案する.YouTubeやニコニコ動画など,ネットワーク上で動画の視聴を行うサービスや,限られたネットワーク資源の範囲内で,効率的に動画配信するための研究は行われているが,``いつ,誰と,何を見るか''という同時視聴グループの作成を支援する方式は提案されていない.本研究では,出来るだけ多くのユーザが満足するような同時視聴グループを求める方法を提案する.その際の課題として挙げられるのが,(1) ユーザが所有する動画や空き時間などに関する情報の伝搬方法と,(2)満足度が高くなるようなユーザ間のマッチング方法である.課題 (1) を解決するために,SNSの1つであるTwitterを利用することで,趣味の共通するユーザ間で情報を効率よく伝搬させる.また,課題 (2) を解決するために,各ユーザの興味のある動画, SNS上でのユーザ同士の関係性などの情報をもとに,最適な同時視聴グループを算出する.

title: A Wi-Fi Offloading Method for Outdoor Mobile Users Using Smartphones in Vehicles as Moving Wi-Fi Access Points
abstract: With the increasing popularity of smartphone users, 3G networks are currently overloaded with mobile data traffic. Due to this explosion of data traffic, communication quality is significantly deteriorated and communication failures occur in 3G networks. To solve this problem, there have been proposed Wi-Fi offloading methods to offload mobile data traffic from 3G to Wi-Fi networks. However, there is a problem that outdoor mobile users such as walking pedestrians cannot offload data during they are out of Wi-Fi access areas. In this research, we propose a new Wi-Fi offloading method that uses vehicles passing near the users as relay nodes, which behave as moving Wi-Fi access points for outdoor users and connect to the Internet using roadside Wi-Fi access points that the vehicles occasionally encounter while moving. To increase the probability of successful offloading, we focus on the fact that contact duration between vehicles and pedestrians is likely to be longer near intersections. Based on this fact, we propose a method that selects access points that can communicate with the vehicles with higher probabilities of encountering the target mobile user at the target intersection.

発表題目: 車両内端末を移動アクセスポイントとして利用する屋外ユーザ向けWI-Fiオフローディング
発表概要: スマートフォンの普及に伴い, 3G へのトラフィックの集中による通信品質の悪化や通信断が大きな問題となっている. これを解決する方法として, 3Gの代わりに Wi-Fiを用いて通信を行う, Wi-Fi オフローディングが注目されている. しかし, 歩行者など屋外で活動するユーザは, Wi-Fi のアクセスポイントのエリア外となることが多く, オフローディングを行うのが困難であるという問題がある. 本発表では, 屋外ユーザの付近を走行する車両を中継器として利用することで, オフローディングを実現する方式を提案する. しかし, 受信時のオフローディングを成功させるために, 屋外ユーザの付近まで走行する確率が高い車両を適切に選択を行う必要がある. そのため, 屋外ユーザがオフローディングによりデータ受信する際には, 屋外ユーザと車両の主な通信場所を交差点付近とし, さらに, 対象となる屋外ユーザに対し, そのユーザと交差点で遭遇する可能性が高い車両を中継器として選択し, オフローディングの成功確率を上げる手法を提案する.
