Wireless Networking Standardization and Research at IETF
概要
The talk will present an overview of wireless networking
in IETF. We will discuss both standardization work in
IETF itself and pre-standardization research in the
Internet Research Task Force (IRTF). The talk will
discuss the technical directions of IETF standards and
how they relate to nonIETF standardization groups, like
3GPP and IEEE, which control the specifications of
the link layer protocols on which IP runs. Initiatives
in progress to start new work that have not yet
resulted in the formation of working groups, will
also be mentioned.
